Scarlette Belle

Don’t miss the fun! Join Scarlett Bell as they give tours at 12pm (noon) on Saturday and Sunday. Scarlett Bell can accommodate 150 guests and has accessible handicap restroom, walk around decks both up and down stairs. You will surely have a great time cruising around the harbor.

Electronics Training


Join Tom Petersen, co-owner and co-principal of Valkyrie Yachts and Valkyrie Yacht Sales as he presents a series of thirty-minute hands-on programs regarding marine electronics aboard the Valkyrie. The program will cover topics that will help your boating experience be safer and more enjoyable. The presentation covered will include items such as GPS & Chartplotter usage, radar overview, depthfinder, setting tracks, anchor watch tactics, creating and using waypoints and routes, AIS (what is it and why should I care?), live weather, and night vision cameras. Boating Instruction and Safety Center

The Channel Islands Harbor is a proud sponsor of the Channel Islands Boating Instruction and Safety Center. All proceeds raised will be donated directly to the BISC.

Admission is Free -
donations will be taken at the entrance.

The Channel Islands Boating Center is a facility to provide educational and recreational opportunities for students of California State University, Channel Islands, and Ventura County residents. The facility includes classrooms, a conference room, showers and lockers and both indoor and outdoor boat storage. While the main focus of the Center is to teach Boating skills and support boaters, it will also provide outreach regarding the marine environment. In this regard, the Boating Center will provide educational opportunities about the Channel Islands marine environment. These exhibits will be available to the public at large, but will also be useful to CSU students, school groups, and community groups.
